Jannie K. Stettler, age 82, of 1919 Felix Place, Plymouth, Indiana, passed away at 6:56 a.m. on Sunday, March 1, 2009, at her home, in Plymouth.
Jannie was born on November 17, 1926, in Mooresville (Morgan County) Indiana, to Arthur and Maude (Taylor) Perry. On June 17, 1946, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Jannie and Earl Stettler were united in marriage. Together they raised their two sons. Jannie, besides enjoying being a housewife and mother, also had been employed by American Optical, in Plymouth. She was on a bowling league, enjoyed shuffleboard in Florida, and enjoyed doing crafts. She graduated from Mooresville High School in the Class of 1944.
Jannie is survived by her loving husband, Earl Stettler of Plymouth; their sons, Richard (Karen) Stettler, of Argos, Indiana and Norman (Valna) Stettler of Plymouth; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Todd) Russell of Fishers, Indiana, Julie (Will) Frits of Prairie Grove, Illinois, Angela (Dustin) Hetrick of Fishers, Bruce (Colleen) Sherman of Metairie, Louisiana, and Michael (Stacy) Sherman of Culver, Indiana; ten great-grandchildren; her sister, Evelyn (John) Renner of Indianapolis; and her brother, Lloyd Perry of Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by two sisters and eight brothers.
Funeral services, for Jannie, will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. at the VAN GILDER FUNERAL HOME, with the Rev. James Irwin officiating. Burial will be in New Oak Hill Cemetery in Plymouth.
A time of visiting, with the Stettler Family, will on Wednesday, March 4, 2009, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the VAN GILDER FUNERAL HOME, 300 West Madison Street, Plymouth, Indiana, 46563
