Leona F. Taylor, age 91, of 635 Oakhill Avenue, Plymouth, Indiana, passed away at 12:32 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at Miller's Merry Manor, in Plymouth.
Leona was born on December 3, 1917, in Rochester, Indiana, to John and Gail (Galbreath) Good.
Leona and W. Kenneth Taylor were united in marriage on June 3, 1935, in Rochester. Leona enjoyed being a mother and making a home for her family. She also loved to read and to garden.
Leona is survived by her two daughters, Cheryl and Garry Bowman of Plymouth and Nancy and Kevin Bammerlin of Plymouth; her son, Dennis and Marcia Taylor of Rochester; her sister, Patty Bryant of Plymouth; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. Leona was preceded in death by her husband; W. Kenneth Taylor; their daughter, Connie Sue Taylor; her sisters, Ida Mae Overmyer, Donnabelle Summers, and Clarice Castleman; and her brothers, Max Good and Delbert Good.
VAN GILDER FUNERAL HOME is in charge of the services. A family service for Leona was held. Burial was in Rochester I.O.O.F. Cemetery, in Rochester.
