John (Jack) G. Lewis, age 90, of 500 South Montgomery Street, Bremen, Indiana, passed away at 4:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 29, 2009, at the Bremen Health Care Center. Jack was born on February 12, 1919, in Chicago, Illinois, to John and Clara Agnes (Gardner) Lewis. Jack and Virginia Allen were previously married. He was a retired Marketing Director working in the crown molding division. Jack served his country during WWII, as a Second Lieutenant. Jack is survived by his five daughters, Nancy Cook of Salem, Oregon, Mary Virginia Lewis of Austin, Texas, Patricia Lewis of Plymouth, Indiana, Jean (Mark) Naylor of Winchester, Virginia, and Cynthia Scholar of Redman, Oregon. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Virginia; and his sister, Jane Horner. The VAN GILDER FUNERAL HOME is in charge of the arrangements. A private graveside service was held, with burial in New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.
