Raymond L. (Bud) Ryan, 81, 2000 Westgate Avenue, Apt 801-A, Plymouth, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at 8:40 a.m. at his home.
Raymond was born on October 29, 1927, in Hammond, Indiana, to James and Ethel (Adams) Ryan. Raymond married Madge France on July 21, 1951, in South Bend, Indiana. Madge passed away on May 9, 2001. Raymond served his country in WWII in the Navy. He worked for the Bendix Corporation, in South Bend, for 38 years. He was a member of the Plymouth Church of God. Bud and Madge lovingly cared for foster children, for 15 years.
Raymond is survived by his daughter, Diana Nez of New Mexico; his sons, Ed (Josie) Trimmer of Schererville, Indiana, Wade (Betsy) Ryan of Columbia, South Carolina, Van Ryan of Plymouth, and Michael (Myria) Ryan of Florida, his sister, Donna Kamp of Argos, Indiana; and his brother, Alfred (Barbara) Ryan of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Also surviving are several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, several nieces, and several nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Madge; his daughter, Shirley Trimmer; two brothers; and one sister.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 6, 2009, at 10:30 a.m., at VAN GILDER FUNERAL HOME, in Plymouth, with the Rev. Wayne Mikel officiating. Burial will be in New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth. Graveside Military Honors will be presented by the American Legion Post #27 of Plymouth.
Visitation will be on Friday, June 5, 2009, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the VAN GILDER FUNERAL HOME, 300 West Madison Street, Plymouth, Indiana, 46563.
