Margaret L. Mishler, 90, of 14659 Lincoln Highway West, Plymouth, Indiana, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2009, at 3:30 a.m. at her home. Margaret was born on December 20, 1918, in Plymouth, to Robert and Florence (Copp) White. She married Otis Mishler on April 8, 1942. Otis passed away on October 6, 1957.
Over the years Margaret worked in the accounting office of various businesses, was a clerk at Miller's Shoe Store, in Plymouth, and worked at the meat counter at Price's Abattoir, in Plymouth. Her last job was taking care of pre-school children. She was a lifetime member of the Order of Eastern Star in Cambridge City, Indiana. Margaret is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Forsythe of Plymouth; her son, Bill (Connie) Mishler of Woodstock, Georgia; her sister Florencedna Heiman of Elkhart, Indiana; her brothers, Robert White of Plymouth and Don White of Elkhart; sixteen grandchildren; thirty two great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, David in 2007; her brothers, Leonard and Howard; and her sisters, Nellie, Marjorie, and Norma. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at the Van Gilder Funeral Home, in Plymouth, with Pastor Arnold Smith, from Walkerton, Indiana, officiating. Burial will in New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth. Friends and family are invited to a time of visiting with the Mishler family on Tuesday, August 4, 2009, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 West Madison Street, Plymouth, Indiana, 46563. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, 112 South Center Street, Plymouth, Indiana, 46563.
