Lois J. Hawley, age 86, of 4881 Hawthorne Road, Bremen, Indiana, passed away at 2:05 p.m., on Saturday, August 29, 2009, at the home of her daughter.

Lois was born on July 6, 1923, in Hamlet, Indiana, to Earl D. and Lucy (Sour) Heiser. Lois married Howard H. Hawley on July 11, 1942. Howard preceded Lois in death on July 4, 2006.

Lois is survived by her children, Noel (Phyllis) Hawley of Plymouth, Rebecca (Russell) Young of Plymouth, Randall (Diane) Hawley of Bremen, Indiana, Peggy (Gary) Radford of Stuards Draft, Virginia; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; her brother, Lloyd (Loretta) Heiser of South Bend, Indiana; her sisters, Leota Hamilton of South Carolina and Grace (Paul) Bartholomew of North Carolina; and her sister-in-law, Eva Jerome of Florida. Lois was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Funeral services, for Lois, will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. at the VAN GILDER FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Matt Elliott officiating. Burial will be in New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.

A time of visiting with the Hawley family, will be on Wednesday, September 2, 2009, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the VAN GILDER FUNERAL HOME, 300 West Madison Street Plymouth, Indiana, 46563.
