David W. Gerrard, age 63, of 400 West Washington Street, Apartment 19, Plymouth, Indiana, passed away at 11:35 a.m., Saturday, November 28, 2009, at the VA Northern Indiana Health Care System in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
David was born on September 11, 1946, in East Chicago, Indiana, to James and Alice (Washburn) Gerrard. David was a retired transport car driver. He had been a resident of the Marshall County Area most of his life. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during Vietnam.
David is survived by his two sons, Eric Gerrard of Lakeville, Indiana and James Gerrard of Alaska; his two daughters, Amanda (Brian) Tobolski of Plymouth and Amelia Hibner of Argos, Indiana. Also surviving is David's nephew, Matthew Gerrard of Indiana. David was preceded in death by his parents, James and Alice Gerrard; his infant brother, James Gerrard; and his brother, Dennis Gerrard.
Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 West Madison Street, Plymouth, Indiana, 46563, is handling the arrangements. A Memorial Service, for David, will be held on Sunday, December 6, 2009, at 2:00 p.m., at the Faith Christian Chapel, 20876 Pierce Road, Lakeville, Indiana, with Pastor Dave Herbster officiating.
