Adalene C. Schoner, age 95, of Plymouth, Indiana, passed away at 6:10 a.m. on Sunday, November 29, 2009, at the Catherine Kasper Life Care Center in Donaldson, Indiana.

Adalene was born on November 22, 1914, in Plymouth, Indiana, to Benjamin and Florence (Richard) Xaver. Adalene was a lifetime resident of the Plymouth area. She began her career as a secretary, then being promoted to management, during her 33 year career at Nipsco. Adalene enjoyed playing the organ for Saint Michael Church, where she was a member. She also belonged to the Altar Rosary Society, Harvest House, Right to Life, as well as Friends of Ancilla.

Adalene is survived by her daughters, Rita (Deacon Ron) Morrow of Kokomo, Indiana and Marilyn Berfield of Perrysburg, Ohio. Also surviving is Adalene's sister, Lorraine Havens of South Bend, Indiana; her brother, Gerald Xaver of Greenville, South Carolina; 12 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. Adalene was preceded in death by her son, David Schoner; her brother, Francis Xaver; and her granddaughter Vicky
Berfield.

Memorials contributions may be given to Right to Life, Ancilla College, or to Saint Michael Catholic Church.
