Mildred G. (Peggy) Washnock 89, of 3689 East Shore Drive Bremen, Indiana, passed away at 6:45 p.m. Friday, December 18, 2009, at the Bremen Health Care in Bremen, Indiana.

Mildred was born on August 15, 1920, in Star City, Indiana, to James Robert Caddy and Mary (Scales) Caddy. Peggy married Joseph Thomas in 1948. Joseph passed away in September of 1965. On December 19, 1970, Peggy married Victor F. Washnock. Victor passed away September 12, 2002.

Peggy worked at General Telephone and Bell Telephone Companies, as a telephone operator. She was a member of Saint Michael Catholic Church, in Plymouth, and had lived in Marshall County for around 38 years.

Mildred is survived by her son, James and Sandi Thomas of Willcox, Arizona; her daughter, Sharon and Karr Hendrickson of Peoria, Arizona; her step-daughters, Mary and Robert Stief of Mishawaka, Indiana, JoAnn and Robert Minier of Elkhart, Indiana, and Sueann and Don Sommer of Mishawaka; her step-son Frank Washnock of Waytt, Indiana; five grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren, 9 step-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Marian Lukowski of Mishawaka. She was preceded in death by her brothers, John and Herbert Caddy.
