KEITH AND CONNIE FELIX

Arline Constance "Connie" Felix, age 88, 290 South Monaco Parkway, Denver, Colorado, 80224, #117, formerly of Plymouth, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2010, at Manor Care Nursing Home in Denver, Colorado, after a three month illness.

Connie was born on October 5, 1921, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, to Arthur and Isabelle (Major) Hickisch. She graduated from La Crosse Central High School, in the Class of 1939. Connie proudly served her country in the United States Army during WWII. She served as Tec 5 in WAC, 15th WAC Hospital Co. Connie received the Good Conduct Medal for service on October 18, 1941. She was Honorably Discharged on October 25, 1946.

Keith G. Felix and Connie Hickisch were married on October 12, 1947, in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Connie was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, in Plymouth, where she served as president of the Women's Guild (LWML), was a member of the choir, and a Sunday School Teacher. She played a key role in helping to organize a Braille Printing Center at the Calvary Lutheran Church. The members print the bible, in Braille, in Tamil, Tagalog, Indonesian, and English.

Connie served as president of the Friendly 30 Homemakers Extension Club, in Plymouth. She sang in the Marshall County Chorus, promoted the publication of "Women of History in Marshall County", was a member of Business and Professional Women's Club (BPW), and also clerked in local stores, in Plymouth, for over ten years.

Connie and Keith Felix lived in Plymouth from 1947 until October of 2007, at which time they moved to Denver, Colorado to an assisted living home, to be closer to their son, Keith G. Felix, II, and family.

Connie is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Keith G. Felix; their daughter, Patricia Sue Calvert and her husband Jeffery Calvert of Orlando, Florida; their sons, Keith G. Felix, II and his wife Nancy Felix of Lakewood, Colorado and Kevin J. Felix and his wife Kristie Felix; Connie's grandchildren, Jason (Laura) Felix, Joshua (Jill) Felix, and Justin (Rachael) Felix all of Denver, Colorado, and Jacob Felix; her step-grandsons, James (Andrea) Parker of North Carolina and Paul (Rhonda) Parker of Plymouth; five great-grandchildren; her sister Drusilla Linnell of Palatine Illinois; and her sister-in-law, Rosemary Hickisch of La Cresent, Minnesota. Connie was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Major Hickisch.
